Early Alvar Aalto model 60 stool
An early model 60 stool by Alvar Aalto.
Birch bent legs with hollow veneered seat with finger-joints dating it to between 1930s-60s.
The top has a black finish, I suspect this finish has been redone at some stage but it has plenty of age so feels nicely aged. The top has some wear, the grain of the veneer is raised. On the underside there are markings around the edge which suggest it may have been upholstered.
