A pair of rare wall lights from the Metallux range of lighting designed in the 1950s by John & Sylvia Reid for Rotaflex, UK. I have never seen any of these wall lights for sale before.
Price is for the pair together.
Perforated copper shades with white metal wall fixings. inside the shades is the original liner that diffuses the light-source giving off the most beautiful light.
The copper has quite bit of ageing and patina but in my view this has mellowed nicely. Importantly the liner inside is pretty much all present (it often deteriorates). The liner has taken on some green staining from the copper oxidising inside but this doesnβt show through from the outside of the lamp. The wall fixing has quite a bit of paint loss and some rust although again not noticeable when the light is hung.
The lights could be hardwired into the wall or a cable with an inline switch run down to a plug. I can rewire them to your requirements.
More photos and video available on request.
