1930s metal clip light

1930s chromium plated metal clip light. This light is referenced in the ‘The Flat Book’ by JL Martin and S Speight, 1939 and listed as by ‘Halford Cycle Co Ltd’ (see last photo).

Adjustable arm, the shade fitting is hinged and then the shade itself can move all the way around independently of the arm. Has the original black plastic turning switch.

A very useful and versatile light, could be clipped to a shelf or bed headboard, it has a screw hole fixing on the back of the clip too so could also be wall hung.

Has been gently cleaned but retains lots of age and patina. There are some dings to the shade. Has been rewired with black twisted cable and PAT tested.

38.5cm high when fully upright.shade is 14.5cm diameter.
