Sawyer designed lighting, chairs, stools and small household goods mostly using steel and often wicker. He deliberately employed only disabled staff to help make the pieces, supplying shops in London like Heals.
A quintessentially 1950s spindly frame with ball ends and a woven wicker seat. There are some losses to the wicker but this doesn’t affect the strength of the chair. Would make a sweet hallway or bedroom chair.
