Perspex pendant light designed in the early 1960s by J.Hildred MSIA for the General Electric Co. Ltd (GEC), UK. There isn’t much information out there about Hildred although he designed a number of perspex and glass light fittings for GEC who also employed designers such as Beverley Pick.
White opal perspex shade with grey perspex outer shade and satin brass fittings. Inside the opal shade are three bulbholders, giving off light above and then diffused through the shade.
Has been rewired and comes with a long length or fabric covered cable. Ceiling rose not included. In very good condition, no damage to the perspex although there are some feint scratches. The brass has nicely aged.
