1980s Conran extending envelope table
Wonderful extending envelope dining table, originally retailed through the Conran shop, 1980s.
Beech base with white laminate top and chrome hinges.
A very clever design where the triangular leaves fold out from a square sitting 4-6 people to a large square accommodating 8-10 people. The legs of the base swing out to support the leaves while also creating a striking arrangement of lines below the top.
In very good condition, the top is clean and free of stains with only very minor marks/scratches. Some slight yellow/wear of the edge trim when the table is unextended.
Last photo shows the same table in Terence Conran's London House (credit- Ken Kirkwood).
Unextended: 110cm wide x 110cm deep x 74.5cm high
Extended: 155cm wide x 155cm deep x 72.5cm high.
