31 chair by Alvar Aalto, Finmar
A rare model 31 chair by Alvar Aalto, designed in 1931 and distributed by Finmar. Cantilevered frame of laminated birch plywood. Finmar label on the underside of the frame.
The chair is very sturdy but the frame leans slightly to one side (see photos). There has been a past repair on one arm and I imagine that this has pulled the seat slightly out of alignment. There is some surface wear and marks to the seat but very presentable.
