50 piece set of Pride silver-plated cutlery designed in 1953 by David Mellor and made by Walker and Hall, Sheffield. A beautiful and elegant design that went on to win one of the first Design Centre Awards in 1957.

Originally created while Mellor was still a student at the Royal College of Art, Pride has remained in continuous production and is regarded as one of the most enduring cutlery designs of the 20th century.
Made of A1 grade silverplate with softly tapered handles, the design is equally suited to modern or traditional environments. The knives have stainless steel blades and ivory coloured acetal handles. Beautifully balanced in the hand, the design combines sculptural simplicity with exceptional functionality.
This vintage set was purchased by the original owner in 1957 and is in excellent condition.
