Brian Willsher teak sculpture

£400.00

Abstract sculpture by British artist Brian Willsher (1930-2010).

Willsher described his technique as ‘doodling in wood’, creating sculptures using a bandsaw in his home studio in South East London. His art career took off after shows at Dunns and Heals in the mid-sixties. Henry Moore praised Willsher: “Here’s pure sculpture, indeed! More than that, memorable sculpture!”

Made of teak or iroko, approx 40cm high. In good condition, the wood colour has faded somewhat. Unsigned.
