A rare poster design and corresponding original artwork by British design duo John & Sylvia Reid.

Although probably more well known for their furniture design for Stag and lighting design for Rotaflex/Forrest Modern, the Reids also worked on graphic design projects.

The poster is for an exhibition called “A city for the whole man” at the City of London Exhibition Hall, early 1970s. It features black type on a silver background. Included is the original artwork made by the Reids to produce the artwork typography - a layout of the type on paper with a stamp for Ion Signs Ltd and marked “John & Sylvia Reid”, dated 1971. A second looser layout of the type on tracing paper is included, annotated with notes and further sketches.

Poster is 75.5cm high x 50.5cm wide, paper mockup is 51cm high x 54.5cm wide, mockup on tracing paper is 50.5cm x 51.5cm.
