Rare Thebes stool by Liberty & Co, circa 1900. Attributed to designer Leonard Wyburd.
The Thebes stool was based on an ancient Egyptian stool, an example of which, dating to 1550-1300 BC, is in the collection of the British Museum.
Solid mahogany dished seat with splayed legs. In very good condition with lovely colour, there is an old repair to the edge of the seat.
